Beavers Blazing Hot on Cold Night in East Boise

The Rookie OS Beavers turned in another awesome game against the Cal State Fullerton Titans last night. Beaver hitting was strong, with Elijah getting his first two-hit game and Junior taking a fly ball to the left field fence. Many thanks to the parents on the side lines for performing a wave on Junior’s deep ball.

Defense was strong early, but was hard to maintain as the cold Idaho winds blew across field F. We started calling outs on the field after the first inning and so the boys buckled down to make some plays. Maybe it was the pressure, maybe it was just to keep moving and stay warm, but the Beavers did pretty good on defense. I think the group of mostly eight-year-old’s is starting to come together and gel as a team.
