What’s the Best DSLR?

  1. I was hoping to hear from you Matt. It’s kind of a trick question for me. If all the specs are about even, it makes more sense to go with the better lens. Nikor lenses tend to be better than Cannon. But I intend to go out and get some hands on at a camera store to compare them all. I’m more interested in making short films than recording an entire band concert. So that won’t be too much of a concern. Thanks for your input!

  2. I have done a lot of research on a camera recently (opted for a guitar) but what I found is the the Nikon D5300 and D7000 are good midrange nikons that do HD video. I also have a friend that uses a Canon 60D. It has the flip out screen like the D5300. Due to cost, I use my wife D3200 and it is suprisingly good, though you cant slave a speedlight, nor work with high ISO’s. But for the cost of 400-600 depending on the kit, it is not bad. One thing that I did learn though, is some DSLR’s, though they take video, they only take 5-7 minute clips. Which is fine unless you cover an event of some sort. I hope this helps.
