A sneak peek at the wrap-around cover for the Starstrikers paperback. Everything is finalized but the starship art. However, that is pretty close to being final too.

Thanks for taking the time to comment Christian!
I usually write on my lunch hour, so I don’t have much time to prepare or get centered. Lately, I use the walk to my writing area to think about the scene I will write and then when I get to my table, I put on headphones and listen to either classical music or movie soundtracks to drown out the background noise. Then I just focus on the story and the magic happens. Or else I sit there and fiddle with the outline or proof what I wrote the last time. The fiddle time is sometimes just as valuable as new words.
Sometimes I have to read previous chapters to get the flow or to remember what was happening. It’s not very easy on those days. You can minimize that kind of writer’s block by having a good outline. Or thinking about what happens next when you are doing a repetitive task, like driving to work or working out or mowing the lawn.
Occasionally I’ll secure a focus room at work and won’t need the headphones.
Hope that helps!
First off I would like to say superb blog! I had a quick question which I’d like to ask if you don’t mind.
I was interested to find out how you center yourself and clear your thoughts before writing.
I’ve had difficulty clearing my mind in getting my thoughts out there. I do enjoy writing however it just seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes are generally wasted simply just trying to figure out how to begin. Any suggestions or hints? Appreciate it!
