As I begin to transition my IT skills into a more technical writing focus, I have begun to learn new tools and methods to document processes. I have decided to include this new learning in the makeup of this website by including a behind the scenes look into what it takes to write a Sci-Fi series.
If you are so inclined, you can follow along as I publish new documents to this corner of the website that I’m calling the Star Saga Universe. All the documents there are written in Markup and published to a static MkDocs website. The entire site is housed in a public Github account – https://github.com/KenMcConnell/star-saga. If you just want to read what’s published, you can access it here -> http://star-saga.ken-mcconnell.com.
This new area of the site lets me expound upon what inspired me to write the Star Saga and how I decided to structure it the way I did. This information is both useful to aspiring writers and interested fans. You can also get some useful graphics describing the series and get a look how the author imagined some of the main characters.
It’s a work in progress, so many pages are updated and added on a daily basis right now. Eventually, I will slow down as I get most of the framework of the site constructed. I hope you’ll join me in exploring a unique behind the scenes look at the Star Saga.
