My Issues with Ubuntu 11.10

I’ve installed the latest version of Ubuntu on two PCs, my old, clunky work desktop and my HP Mini netbook. The desktop unit is working pretty good. No real complaints other than the old hardware is slower than I’d like. Not the fault of the OS.

But the Mini is another problem altogether. Three issues are driving me nuts on it. The first is the random brightness control and the second is the spotty wireless connections. The third issue is that the mouse cursor cuts out and leaves you hanging.  All of these were not a problem in the 11.4 version of the OS.

Obviously these are driver issues and I’m not sure why Ubuntu would suddenly not support the Mini. But if they are not fixed, I’ll have to go to another distro and soon.
