This past week we were scheduled to have heart surgery for my youngest at Seattle Children’s Hospital. We got preempted by an emergency heart transplant and are now scheduled for his surgery this coming Monday. In the mean time, things are in flux as we are having an unexpected mini-vacation in Seattle.
The final proof of my new mystery novel, Null_Pointer is waiting for me back in Boise and so will continue to wait for my approval until the following weekend when we should be back in town. Needless to say, with a child coming off of open heart surgery, there will not be a lot of spare time around the house for a few weeks. But as soon as I am able to, I will give the book the once over and make sure it is signed off to publish. After that, I don’t know how long it will be until it will be available through Lulu or Amazon or your local independent book seller. But as soon as I know for sure, I will let you know.
In the mean time, if you simply must read it and can’t wait for the paperback, please head on over to Scribd and download the final PDF version. It’s free and I encourage you to “pass it on” to anyone you feel would enjoy it. The novel was released on Scribd last week and has zipped past my most popular short story in total views.
Also, a new short story is now featured on Scribd called “The Safe Cracker” and it features the detective in Null_Pointer. That story is getting some attention too, so be sure and check it out.
Try and enjoy the impromptu vacation. And sending my best wishes for your kid.
