So I found a very discouraging issue with Beryl. It does not do virtual desktops. Sure it lets you flip a cube at blinding speed and even slowly twist it to see all your desktops. But when you open a program on one desktop and then try to come back to it, it’s not available.
Maybe I’m just not getting it, but this stops me from using Beryl in a heart beat. I NEED virtual desktops on Linux. I have all kinds of programs open and switch back between them all the time. I can’t have that feature dropped for a fancy UI.
If anyone can set me straight on this, it would be appreciated. Until then, Beryl is out and Metacity is in.
