Thanks Mike. I’m looking seriously at the MacBook white 1.63 Mhz with 1GB RAM and 80GB HD. It looks like it’s standing up well against the MacBook Pro in everything except gameing – which I never do anyway, so sounds like it will be a great bargain.
On your suggestion, I did download Parallels to my work XP box and loaded Ubuntu on it. Works fine, I like it alot. I will probably use it to test Linux on the Mac, but I’m too far gone to the Open Source side to not duel boot. Mac is the best closed source software solution, but nothing gets me happier than Linux. So I will be running the best free OS on the best hardware for laptops. At least part of the time. :)
I am looking forward to learning OSX Aqua. I recently got the Missing Manual for making the switch to Mac from Windows, so will soon learn my way around.
