Totally agree, those 2 books are all I need to get my work done in Ruby on Rails. On the other hand when I’m working in Java I need a full library to get through the week with Hibernate, Spring MVC, XDoclet, Maven, etc…
Even if there were more Ruby books published I could easily get by with those 2!

Luckily, the depth and quality of a language is not judged by how many books have been published about it. :)
Indeed, there will popup more Ruby books in the future for more specialized things, such as the Java ones for XSLT, etc.
Too bad there have only been four ruby books published.
