Visual Studio – No Diff Tool

Why doesn’t Visual Studio let me take two source files and compare them? This is a very basic feature that programmers need. Why is it lacking in such a high profile editor? Anyone?

It’s a good thing I have ViM around.

  1. I think you are right. Most Microsoft shops use all the MS tools like VSS. The diff tool in VSS is quite nice. But if you don’t use it, say you use something more robust like SVN, you are out of luck. It’s kinda odd to have to use a seperate tool. At least to me.
