On the Bench – Debut

Today is the debut of my second series on my YouTube channel – On the Bench. If you enjoy the model builds that I do on this site, this series if for you! I will talk about my latest build on the bench and show off all of the older models in great detail. If you like to scratch build starship models, this channel is for you. If you like to look at cool starship models and hear about what goes into building them, this channel is for you too. If you don’t give a hoot about models or Sci-Fi, I recon you won’t be reading this post, so this is not for you. Move along.

So if you want to see me blabber on about my models, tune in and check it out. If you’d rather not bother, that’s okay too. If you would rather see me blabber about my novels, than check out At the Desk series on my YT channel.

Why YouTube, you may be asking? well, I’m trying to show off my process to better share it with my current audience, and grow a new audience on YouTube. The hope is that if you like watching me mess with SF models or talk about my SF books, you might in the end get curious enough to oh, I don’t know, maybe buy and read one or two of them. I know, right? Insane concept. Doomed to failure.

The bottom line is, my books are damn good, but nobody knows who I am. If YouTube gets me in front of new eyeballs, maybe that will also get new eyes on my books. In the end, I’m just trying to sell more books and expose more people to my story telling nonsense. I don’t know if this will work, only time will tell. So I’ll check in over the next few years to let you know how things go with that.

In the meantime, I’ll still be updating the Model Builds pages here on the site. So if you want the close up photos from my builds, they will always be available here.
