How many authors of SF novels have a detailed 1/48 scale model of one of the starships from their stories? Probably not too many. How many of those authors have a scratch built Lego version of that same model? Gonna go out on a limb here and say only I do.

I had fun building it from scrap Lego pieces that my boys have on hand.
Sure, it’s not an exact replica, but it’s close enough for my kids.
This is a backside view. The gun turent swings up and down just like on the original model. I probably won’t build another ship from my Star Trilogy, but you never know. It’s a long week off for Christmas.
Ya know, I think that Lego model looks a tad better than the original! ;-)
