This week I wrapped up chapter 2 and realized that it too needs some fixing. But rather than stop and fix it, I’ll keep pushing on into chapter 3. Chapter 2 is where we are introduced to the villain – Empress Nykostra, who is now in her mid twenties. I had to age her up for this book and imagine what she has been doing for the past ten years of her war. I’m still working some of that out as I write which makes for slower writing. Sometimes a bit of discovery writing is good though. It lets your brain work out relationships on a subconscious level.
